1v1 Tournament
August 10th 2025 (indoor fields) 11am-3pm
*** check in starts at 10:30am and closed at 10:50am, tournament starts at 11am ***
In summary this is a show of skill for the QB, receivers and defensive backs. One on one, your best offensive duo against the other teams best defender in a rotation. First team to get to points or high score end of time wins. There will be THREE seeding games to determine the bracket games. Once the tournament bracket starts it will be single elimination. So you are guaranteed at least 4 games! ( 3 rank placement games and 1 tournament game). If teams tie in win loss record then the highest point differential will decide placement. If you only need one point to win, be careful playing it safe as this can make the difference in first or second place for the seeding. Points for offensive plays and defensive plays. We are removing the 1 point for defense on a drop or no catch. However you will still give up a point to the defense if you intentional ground a pass. A demonstration will be done before the tournament starts to clear up any questions. For official rules click the tab below.
Tournament Guidelines
Age brackets: 11u, 13u, 15u, and Adult 18+ (must be at the age or below time of tournament to play in each bracket for youth, must be over 18 for the adult)
Team size: minimum 3 players, a 4th player may be rostered to play. The 3 playing in a game can be changed prior to the start of the match from the 4 player roster, but the "sub" can only go in for an injured player once a game starts. Injured players must leave the game and can return NEXT game once cleared by the team coach and the tournament coordinator. ( players CANNOT be roster on multiple teams)

Uniforms: teams must must wear matching uniforms or shirts. The can be plain shirts as long as they are the same color and or patterns. Pennies will be provided for teams with the same colors and the away team will wear them.

Home/Away: a coin flip at the beginning of the match will decide home or away. Home team gets the ball first, away team plays defense and wears the pennies if needed.

Game Scoring: the winner will be the first to point total or highest when time is up. YOUTH (placement games will be 8 minutes or 12 pts no timeouts, round 1 tournament games will be 12 minutes or 15 pts running time with each team getting one 45 second timeout, and finals are 15 minutes or 20 points with a 60 second timeout each. ADULT (placement games will be 10 minutes or 15 pts no timeouts, round 1 and 2 tournament games will be 12 minutes or 18 pts running time with each team getting one 45 second timeout, and finals are 15 minutes or 20 points with a 60 second timeout each.

Play: QB has 5 seconds to throw or loss of down and 1 point to the defense for a sack, 15 seconds for delay of game once the ref places the ball on the designated snap station, delay of game is a loss of down with no point deduction. You CANNOT start the play until the ref signals play start.

Offensive Points: YOUTH players can get 0 - 4 points on offense each play. Cones are 10 yards apart. The first cone is (1 point) and 10 yards from scrimmage, 2nd is (2 points) and 20 yards, 3rd is (3 points) and 30 yards, and the 4th is (4 points) and 40 yards (13u and 15u only). ADULT players can get 0 - 4 points on offense each play. Cones are 12 yards apart. The first cone is (1 point) and 12 yards from scrimmage, 2nd is (2 points) and 24 yards, 3rd is (3 points) and 36 yards, and the 4th is (4 points) and 48 yards. You do not need to catch it in the point range to get the points. You can catch it shorter and if not tagged by the defense you could run as far as you can.

Defensive Points: players can get 0 - 3 points on defense each play. If you cause a "sack" on the QB by not allowing them to throw before the 5 second count, defense is awarded 1 point. If the QB spikes the ball or throws it away (intentional grounding) without an attemptable pass reception the defense is awarded 1 point. If the defense hits and knocks away a pass they are awarded 2 points. If the defense intercepts the ball and maintains possession they will be awarded 3 points.

Penalties: defensive pass interference will award the offense a play redo from the spot of the foul or minimum of 10 yards. Points are awarded only if you catch a pass on the redo play. The points still count from the original line of scrimmage. So if you are fouled at the second cone and catch only a 5 yard pass on the redo play, you will still be awarded the score past the second cone for 2 points. Offensive pass interference will be a loss of down and the defense is awarded 1 point.
